I am once again the 3rd grader staring at the clock and watching the second hand tick... tick... tick away, waiting for the clock to hit that magic number were you can leave the classroom and run out and play.

Dreams
Okay, so switched to half hour naps instead of 20 minutes to see if that helped. Ended up having a dream for, like, the first time while using this schedule.
I can't remember exact details, but it ended up with dragging a bit of computer equipment over to a (friend's? I didn't know her) and working to set it up and finally ending with some conversation with my parents that I could see happening, some story about somebody's kids who ended up real monsters and something about me turning 18 or whatever. It was strangely realistic, and I woke up like "holy frig, that was a dream?!". That doesn't usually happen, usually I wake up and either immediately know or realize a few hours later.

I'm starting to get the feeling I can't go more than 2 damn days without oversleeping, and it's really getting on my nerves. I mean, I set the alarm. But apparently I either turn it off without waking up or sleep through it, so instead of a 3 hour core I end up with a 6.5 hour one. And since that's not even in the multiple of 1.5 range, I'm really not happy about it. I'm starting to think I need to set a few more alarms. And possibly train my cat to start biting my hand at the sound of them.

Ugh
A very important lesson to anyone attempting polyphasic sleep- if depression makes you want to never get out of bed, avoid being an idiot and letting yourself get all depressed over something. >_< I woke up at 1:50 realizing I'd turned the speakers off during the 6:10 nap. Not a happy time.

Care and Feeding- Everyman day 1
So, trying the uberman with a 3 hour core and 3 naps. So far it's working out alright, didn't feel wiped out like I did trying to just do ubermn before giving in and sleeping for several hours- then I was tired near constantly. Of course, I forgot I'd set my alarm for the core so I ended up telling a friend I'd be back in 20 minutes and actually got back 3 hours later, she was cool about it, though.
One of the things I noticed is that if I don't eat around the nap (Say an hour either way) I'm a lot crankier, a bit like eating breakfast with monophasic, where waking up hungry was almost as bad an experience as skipping breakfast (for me, at least).

Switch
After oversleeping again today, I'm switching to everyman with a 3 hour core. I'm still too used to sleeping for a few hours at some point at night to separate the days and really need the core until I can fall asleep fast enough for naps to work. Maybe next semester, when I'm used to polyphasic sleep, I'll switch to uberman.
day 1 ish
Sleep is a good thing. So, last night I overslept. From about 4:10 am until almost 9. And I ended up more tired from it than I am now 5 minutes until the nap that *now* marks 12 hours.
I think the worst thing is the 10 minutes before hte nap. you either have nothing to do and don't want to start because you've only got 10 minutes or you're in the middle of something and don't want to leave it just yet.
